      Description

We use the EZID ARK service to create handles, which have the have form 88435/dsp01td96k251d; Looking at the update sequence sql (oracle) - I see a
      WHERE REGEXP_LIKE(handle, '^./[0123456789]$'

That pattern dos not match any of our handles. The new sequence created does not take the ones we have into account, so that it receives an incorrect LAST_NUMBER value

I suspect that sequence updating will fail in vanilla installations that use DOIs as well.

Changing the handle_seq update to do
      @/updateseq.sql handle_seq handle handle_id ""
      fixed my issue
